Research Interest
I am a Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering double-major working on biomimicry, drug delivery, and biologically inspired materials.
Research Project
I work in Dr. David Needham's lab with lysolipid thermally sensitive liposomes and their uses in chemotherapy drug delivery. Also, I work with gadolinium as a contrast agent in MRI use and the suitability of specific liposomes in this application.
Outside Interests
I am the Vice President of Education for Alpha Omicron Pi, my sorority. Currently, I am training to run in the Dublin marathon for the Arthritis Foundation, the sorority's national philanthropic organization. I serve on my residential Quad Council and as a Justice on the Greek Judicial Board.
My favorite things include my family, red shoes, Duke basketball, dancing, Science, the out of doors, and books, namely The Godfather, Romeo and Juliet, and Where the Sidewalk Ends, in that order.
